Having your tests done at an accredited sleep and lung clinic is highly recommended. This ensures your service is technically proficient and internationally regarded as best practice, giving you assurance that you are in the safest hands.
Nepean Lung and Sleep’s laboratories are fully accredited according to the National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA) and Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ).
NATA is Australia’s national accreditation body, and independently assures technical competence through a series of assessments and strict criteria.
TSANZ’s accreditation program is designed to foster excellence in the assessment of respiratory function. Its laboratory accreditation approach is influenced by the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards (ACHS).
All of our sleep tests are conducted with a Registered Polysomnographic Technicians (RPSGT) and/or a trained sleep technician. They are performed according to ASA guidelines and the standards set by the internationally recognised American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Our respiratory function tests are performed by Certified Respiratory Function Scientists (CRFS) and clinical physiologists, according to recommendations set out by the American Thoracic Society (ATS) and European Respiratory Society (ERS).
