Dr Gaurie Palnitkar


Gaurie Palnitkar is a specialist adult respiratory and sleep physician, graduating with honours from the University of Melbourne in 2003. After completing her internship at Royal Melbourne Hospital, she embarked on specialist Physicians’ training and sub-specialty training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at the Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH). She was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2011 before spending a further 2 years as Sleep Medicine Fellow at RNSH and commencing private practice.

Dr Palnitkar provides expert care in all facets of respiratory and sleep medicine, with a special interest in the diagnosis and management of sleep disorders, including Obstructive Sleep Apnoea, Insomnia, Parasomnias and Narcolepsy. She is currently undertaking a PhD in sleep medicine at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research, focussing on the impact of sleep disorders on male fertility.

Dr Palnitkar is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia & New Zealand (TSANZ) and the Australasian Sleep Association.
